Bamboo Fencing is Best
Bamboo fencing is gaining popularity these days. The reason: it is inexpensive, easy to assemble, easy to attach, and may be designed in a variety of ways.
This fencing is inexpensive. The raw materials are made from bamboo plants that are treated, sanded, and laminated to withstand wind, rain and other outside elements, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Since bamboo plants grow fast and are easy to care for, bamboos are priced cheaper compared to other materials commonly used for fencing such as willow, timber, reed and fern.
Bamboo fencing is easy to assemble and attach to existing fences and posts. It may be stapled, glued, or nail onto existing wood fences or wire-tie to metal posts or chain link fences.
A bamboo fence may be designed in a variety of ways aside from the usual picket fence look. Bamboos may be cut horizontally into small pieces and assemble them together to create a crisscross, diamond or square patterns. As for the color, the natural wood-like color of bamboos may be retained or it may be stained to create a darker or a caramel-like color, resembling that of a maple or oak wood. If you prefer a white fence, bamboos are versatile to accommodate your wish. Just like other types of wood, bamboos can absorb matte or glossy paint.
A bamboo fence can last for a long time, especially if it is installed or attached onto sturdy posts. Maintenance for it is relatively easy. A yearly painting or varnishing will do. To make it look like a brand new fence, sanding it first before applying varnish or paint will be helpful. As for missing bamboo fencing slats, they can be easily replaced by nailing small bamboo slats, which can be bought by piece at local hardware or woodworking stores.
